You know why I love the National Board of Review?

They named Barry Lyndon the best film of the year in 1975

Barry Lyndon and Nashville tied for best film and Kubrick and Altman tied for best director in 1975.

By the way, this year's selection for best movie is my least favorite since 1994's Forrest Gump.

Glad to see Sean win. Here is another "Depp" like actor in the same vein as James Dean... with great depth and a wide range more typical of the New York stage than Hollywood. Sean deserves Oscar this year.

Really? Nashville tied? I didn't know that.

Sean Penn.
What does this guy have to do to get that damn trophy?
He won't show up to claim it, but THAT'S A CHANCE THE ACADEMY SHOULD TAKE!

They won't, though, because they like to have movie stars' faces broadcast around the globe when they get up on stage. Why give it to someone who won't get up to receive it?
I'll tell you why, AMPAS! Because you cut off their speeches!
