scroll bar?

Curious if anyone is finding the scroll-barred article on the front page a blight/distraction/useful addition? I was alarmed when using a friends Mac to see that the text was much too much for the window. Different computers really screw me up. Anyway, scrollbox seemed like a workable solution...Any thoughts?
