TELLURIDE FILM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES ITS PROGRAM FOR THE 51ST EDITION
Telluride, CO – Telluride Film Festival, presented by the National Film Preserve, today announces its official program selections for the 51st Telluride Film Festival (TFF). TFF’s celebration of artistic excellence brings together cinema enthusiasts, filmmakers, and artists to discover the best in world cinema in the beautiful mountain town of Telluride, Colorado.
TFF will screen nearly sixty feature films, short films, and revival programs representing twenty-six countries, along with filmmaker Tributes, Conversations, Panels, Student Programs, and Festivities. The 51st Telluride Film Festival takes place Friday, August 30 through Monday, September 2, 2024.
The festival, which Hollywood Reorter (https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/telluride-2024-lineup-1235986470/) notes wil be heavy with star power and feature political docs and other timely items, will host three tributes, honoring Saoirse Ronan, alongside a screening of Nora Fingscheidt’s The Outrun (Sony Pictures Classics), which premiered at Sundance; Jacques Audiard, with Amelia Perez; and editor Thelma Schoonmaker, known for her work with Martin Scorsese.

Each year, Telluride Film Festival pays tribute to individuals whose artistry has significantly contributed to the world of cinema. The 2024 Silver Medallion Awards will be presented to award-winning French filmmaker Jacques Audiard (with EMILIA PÉREZ); Academy Award nominated actress Saoirse Ronan (with THE OUTRUN); and Oscar winning editor Thelma Schoonmaker. Each tribute program includes a selection of clips, the presentation of the Silver Medallion award, and an on-stage interview.
