BI GAN: A SHORT STORY (2022)
The stunning new Chinese director Bi Gan (KAILI BLUES (http://www.filmleaf.net/showthread.php?4120-New-Directors-New-Films-2016-Film-Comments-Selects&p=34482#post34482), ND/NF 2016, LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT, (http://www.filmleaf.net/showthread.php?4556-New-York-Film-Festival-2018&p=37580#post37580) NYFF 2018), whose first two features were made while he was in his twenties, has made a fifteen-minute film for a pet company with the theme of a black cat. I won't try to describe it, but as you'd expect from this gifted filmmaker, it's quite magical and beautiful. It's the first film he's made in four years and he narrates it himself.
