I AM NOT YOUR NEGRO (RAOUL PECK)

PREVIEW: Raoul Peck's documentary I Am Not Your Negro, entering US theaters Feb. 3, 2017, is a nominated film and prime candidate for Best Documentary Oscar for 2017. Produced by Raoul Peck, Rémi Grellety, and Hébert Peck, it makes use of James Baldwin's unfinished work Remember This House, which tells the story of race in America through contemplating the deaths of Medgar Evers, Malcolm X, and Martin Luther King. With a screenplay by Raoul Peck using texts by James Baldwin, it features the voice of Samuel L. Jackson and is distributed by Magnolia Pictures. It debuted at Toronto and showed in the NYFF and a dozen other festivals. LikeO.J.: Made in America an Oscar-nominated documentary that looks intensely at African American experience.
