He's associated in your mind with Hunter S. Thompson, but he worked very widely. I first saw his drawings in Punch, I think. Does anyone even remember Punch now? It was the great English humor magazine of the Fifties. I'll say it flat out: cartoons were better then.

Yes. Ralph is associated with Hunter Thompson in my mind (overwhelmingly, in fact) but I know he's his own man and always was.
Ralph can't really separate himself from Hunter. His art is so closely married to Hunter's writing that Ralph called Hunter out on it in Hunter's own kitchen (in Wayne Ewing's BREAKFAST WITH HUNTER), saying that people mistake his work for Hunter's own.
Anybody with a brain knows that Ralph is his own man and always was.
You can buy amazing prints from Ralph's website, if anyone's interested in having some Gonzo Art hang in their castle.
