Hands down the best thing about last night's show was the honoring of Martin Scorsese.
What an amazing edit of his film clips!
And then in his speech he mentions Kubrick, John Ford, Kurosawa and one of his favorite films, THE RED SHOES.
Further illustrating why he is the most passionate film preservationist on earth.
Awesome that Jeff Bridges got recognition (along with T-Bone Burnett).

AVATAR for Best Picture and Best Director. Yessir.
Great to see Christof Waltz being honored for Inglourious Basterds.

Now for my snipes: Ricky Gervais is a little full of himself, isn't he? Plugging his tv show to end the show?
Who cares what Julia Roberts thinks? She needs to vanish from Hollywood.
What is "desperate housewives" and who the hell watches it? Seems like total shite to me...
