I'm posting from the inner sanctum of the TIFF film reference library, which I just discovered on College and Yonge.

Once I came in I knew I had to post about it, so here it is.
What's surrounding me?

A giant original striking poster for Fritz Lang's Metropolis, a framed original poster for Pabst's Pandora's Box (Die Busche der Pandora), a framed and signed one for Terence Davies' Distant Voices Still Lives, Herzog's Nosferatu, Guy Maddin's Archangel, a giant one of Kieslowski's BLEU, every film magazine that's worth reading is available to read, they have computers to cross reference what ever you want, film cans, props from movies, a diorama display for King Kong (also with a large poster of Kong on the Empire State Building)- it's a great library to say the least.

What do they have?

- 60, 000 film and TV production titles to watch
- 200,000 images
- 8,000 posters
- 6, 000 soundtracks
- 17, 000 books
- 2, 000 scripts
- over 100 magazine titles

It's the ultimate resource MAN!

I'm just bowled over that I never came in here before now.
You know where I'll be every week?
Right here.
Unfortunately they're only open to the public 3 days a week for only 4 hours at a time. But I'll make maximum use of my time, believe me.

This year rocks for your friend/fiend Johann
