I just found out that Stan Winston died 3 days ago.
He was 62.
The last film he worked on was Spielberg's latest Indiana Jones apparently.
This man was a true SFX/animatronics Legend, a pioneer, who helped exalt films like A.I., Terminator 2, Predator, Aliens, Jurassic Park, JP: The Lost World, Batman Returns, Edward Scissorhands, Iron Man, and many others.
Another giant of the film industry gone.

I think I'll be buying that hardcover book "The Winston Effect" today..
