ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE- a new musical

Julie Taymor, one of cinema's greatest artists (Titus, Frida) is making a musical about a boy and girl who fall in love in the sixties called All You Need is Love. Release is sometime next year - gotta wait a while :(

The lovebirds will sing 18 Beatles songs.

Sounds like heaven to me!

Taymor's next film is now called ACROSS THE UNIVERSE.

Many characters in it are named after Beatles songs.
Can't wait.

Chelsea showed me this trailer a few days ago. We were so looking forward to September 27th, when Revolution Studios will release it in North America. Now we hear that Studio head Joe Roth, yes the director of the classics Revenge of the Nerds II and Christmas with the Kranks, has pissed Taymor off by re-editing Across the Universe according to his whims. Taymor is rumoured to be asking to have her name obliterated from the credits and from any publicity material. A lot can happen during the next six months. This is a developing story.
