I didn't realize you had posted about Son Frere. I wrote a brief comment about it on my journal after watching it on 2/4. It's a very good film that makes no concessions or accomodations to middlebrow sensibilities. It's not a film one would recommend casually to anyone given the grave subject matter and the somber tone. Shame on critics for ignoring it though. I had to wait for the dvd since the picture did not come to a theatre near me.
